We chose to interview people who are very strong believers in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine and wearing a mask and also people who are strongly opposed to getting the vaccine and wearing a mask. We wanted to help make a record of the kind of polarization of average people around these issues. We learned how much personal life experiences and relationships – including those on social media – shape people’s attitudes about public health, personal rights, and our responsibilities for each other.
